During my 6 years as a WallingtonCouncilwoman, Helen  sat in the front row at every single meeting.  She always was speaking out about the water bills being too high and anything else that she felt strongly about..  I also remenber her help with a town picnic we put on back in the early 90''s at the Bergen County Park.  She was a bundle of energy.  Helen was often seen smoking, yet she was the irst one to yell at any teen she saw smoking.  And her skill &  talent for picking out fabrics for differant projects we had in mind was just too much for words.. Mrs. Dubis has been missed at regular WALLINGTON GOP meetings, where she  served as president for 2 terms.  Another favorite subject Helen would talk about was her pet cat and the trouble it would cause, as well as the joy in her life.  When my grandparents died she qoted Abraham Lincoln's words to me about it is not being the years in your life that count, but the life in your years. Those words rang true for er too!   It was a pleasure knowing her and her husband Walter.
