Erika Coy, of Wallington, passed into eternal life on February 3rd, 2016, she was 39. Erika was born in Bogota, Colombia to Richard and Doris (Gomez) Coy on July 11th, 1976. The family came to the United States on March 4th 1983. Erika had attended Middlesex Community College prior to becoming a Hudson County Corrections Officer. Erika was married to Joey Roman on July 13th, 2009. She was a proud and devoted wife and mother, and was known by her family as the, "Sports Mom in the Shadows." Erika could always be found supporting her children's athletic adventures, and more importantly, just spending time with them. Erika was an avid supporter of all that is law enforcement, and was a member of the P.B.A., and LEO-ONLY.org. Erika is survived by her beloved husband Joey, her cherished children, Jaylin Roman, Jana Roman, Joey Roman Jr., and Jaela Roman. She is also survived by her beloved brothers' Edilson Coy, Mauricio Coy and Cesar Coy. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., Thursday, February 4th, 2016 at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington, New Jersey. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 5th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Avenue, Wallington, New Jersey. A private cremation will follow.
