It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wieslaw "Wesley" Sasiadek on June 28th, 2024 at the age of 61. Wesley was born in Brzozów, Poland on September 26th,1962 to Piotr and Zofia (Gratkowska) Sasiadek. He grew up in Niebocko, Poland. Wesley served in the Polish Army for 4 years before emigrating to the United States in 1985, settling in East Rutherford. Wesley met his wife Maria in 1988. They were married on his birthday in 1989, and later took a trip to Poland to be married in the church in 1993.
Wesley worked for Alpha Pash Storage Space as a fleet mechanic and welder since 1985. In 2010, due to health issues he could no longer work. For the last thirty years, he has lived in Wallington. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to go camping, fishing, mushroom foraging, boating and riding his electric bike. He was also always the life of the party and loved to dance. Always handy with a tool box, his family knew him as "Mr. Fix-It" - there was never a problem that he couldn't find a way to solve.
Wesley is survived by his devoted wife Maria and their cherished children, Melissa and her husband Krzysztof Wisniewski, John and his wife Kate Zakrzewska, Monika and her husband Brian Da Silva, and Brittany Sasiadek, and their six loving grandchildren Avalyn, Logan, Zachary, Alessia, Wesley, and Walter. He is also survived by his dear siblings, sister Elzbieta Podczasy, his brother Jan and his wife Zofia Sasiadek and many brother in laws, sister in laws, nephews, nieces and friends both in the USA and Poland. Wesley is predeceased by his parents, his brother in law Stanislaw Podczasy and his in laws Wladyslaw and Rozalia Zakrzewski.
Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, Tuesday, July 2nd at Warner Wozniak Funeral Home, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 AM Wednesday, July 3rd at the funeral home followed by Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 7 Parker Ave, Passaic. Wesley will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Rd, South Hackensack.
