Walter C. Pimm of Toms River, NJ died on Aug 2nd, he was 85. Walter was born in Walden, NY on August 13, 1928 to Harry and Kathleen Grace (Glaser) Pimm. He was raised in the Bronx, and spent his career as an elevator mechanic, and retiring as an independent Elevator Inspector, working for many different companies throughout the tri-state area. During the mid 1940’s Walter had served in the Merchant Marines. Walter was married in South Carolina on Nov 17th, 1948 to Dorothy Maguire. The family moved to Passaic NJ in 1976 and to Toms River in 1998. In addition to being a member of the American Legion Post in Toms River, Walter was also a member of the Newark-Bloomfield, B.P.O of Elks No. 0021. Walter is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy of sixty-five years, his loving children, Richard (Val) Pimm, Daniel (Shelley) Pim, Edward Pimm, Roberta Pimm, Jacalyn Rodriguez, Dorothy (Fernando) Nivar and Geraldine (Drew) Szucs. Walter is also survived by his 10 dear grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son William Pimm, son in law Tony Rodriguez and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
