Walter Kolano

Walter Kolano of Wallington, died on February 6, 2012, he was 84. Walter was born in Upper Saddle River Township, on May 4, 1927 to Peter and Sabina (Keynsky) Kolano. During WWII, he served in the United States Army. After living in Upper Saddle River, and Passaic, Walter married Emily Tencza and they moved to Wallington. He spent many years working as a chemical operator for Hoffmann La Roche in Nutley. After retiring he enjoyed walking with friends in the park and completing crossword puzzles. Walter was predeceased by his beloved wife Emily in Dec. of 2010 and his three brothers. He is survived by his loving children, Dr. Jeffrey Kolano and his wife Bridget; daughter Susan Mihalenko and husband John; son Walter Kolano and wife Dena. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Alison, Michael, Jaclyn, Cynthia and Stephen. Visiting will take place on Thursday, February 9th, from 2pm – 6pm at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service; 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ 07057.
