Stella Lucksin of Wallington, died on February 6, 2012, she was 96. Stella was born in Passaic, NJ on March 1, 1915 to Peter and Anna (Kawecka) Cechowski. She was married to Joseph Lucksin on August 10th, 1939. In addition to being a homemaker, Stella was a talented seamstress. She was a long time member of “The Happy Hookers” which is a knitting and crocheting club in Wallington. They made hats, mittens and afghan blankets that were donated to various charitable organizations. She was also a very active member of the Wallington Seniors and Civic Center. Stella was predeceased by her husband Joseph, a daughter Lorraine, and 2 sisters Josephine and Helen. She is survived by her loving daughters, Phyllis J. Roche, of Orange Park, FL, and Virginia Kowal, of Nanticoke, PA. She is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren; Ramon F. Danny Jr, Kenneth F. Danny, David J. Danny, Joey R. Danny, Jeff F. Danny, Victoria Kowal, Lorrie Lynn Roche, Kevin Kowal, and James Kowal. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren; Tara, Christopher, Jeremy and Brandon. Visiting will take place on Friday, February 10th, from 4pm – 8pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington, NJ 07057. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11th, 9AM at Saints Peter and Paul, Polish National Catholic Church 126 River Drive, Passaic, NJ. Interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery.
