Stacia Kudlacik

Stacia Kudlacik of Wallington, died on September 1st, 2015, she was 94. Stacia was born at the home of her parents, Francis and Maryann (Puzio) Gurtowski, in Passaic, NJ on May 24th, 1921. She was the youngest of eight children, and was the last surviving. Stacia was predeceased by her first husband Anthony Stolarz in 1945. In July of 1949 she married Eugene Kudlacik, to whom she was married until his death. Stacia had worked at various companies throughout the years, but last worked at Gimbels Department Store in the housewares department, at the Garden State Plaza in Paramus. Stacia was an accomplished cook and was well known for many of her superb dishes. Every year she would enjoy the cooking frenzy, in preparation for The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Picnic. Her famous Rice-Cake recipe is currently missing, and her family and friends fear that she has taken it to heaven with her. Stacia also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and also made lap blankets for the sick and elderly. She was an extremely active parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, where she spent countless hours helping to prepare for holidays and parish functions, and was also a member of the Most Sacred Heart Rosary Confraternity. She also was an active member of the Wallington Seniors. Stacia is survived by her loving and devoted children and their spouses, Robert J. and Lorraine Stolarz of Towaco, NJ; Janet Hartmann of Raritan, NJ and Diane and Robert Smedley of Orlando, FL. She was predeceased by her son in law Mark Hartmann. Stacia is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Robyn Petroski, Sandy Stolarz and Daniel Hartmann; and her great-grandchildren Jason and Hailey Petroski. Visiting Friday, 3-7 PM, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
