Sophie Dynes

Sophie Dynes (Pukas) of Wallington, New Jersey, entered eternal life on Sunday, November 14th, 2021, she was 87. Sophie was born in Jersey City on June 12th, 1934 to Louis and Catherine Pukas. Sophie was married to Raymond Dynes Sr. on July 22, 1961, they were married for 36 years prior to his passing in 1997. Sophie had many hobbies; she was an avid bowler with a high average of 220, a ruthless Bingo player, an accomplished seamstress, vivacious reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. She is survived by her devoted son Ray Dynes Jr. and his wife Marianne, her favorite son-in-law Joe Sarti, and her many nieces and nephews. Sophie is predeceased by her cherished daughter Dorothy Sarti. Visiting 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 and 9:00-9:30 am on Wednesday November 17th at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ 07057. Sophie will be laid to rest on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd. North Arlington, NJ 07031. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The Parish Nursing Program at the Wallington Presbyterian Church, 9 Bond St. Wallington, NJ 07057.
