Ruth Marilyn Janiec a life-long resident of Wallington, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 1st, she was 76. Ruth was born in Passaic, NJ on January 11th, 1944, to Theodore and Bertha (Bialek) Choma. Ruth was married to her beloved husband Joseph Janiec, who predeceased her in April of 1999. For many years Ruth had worked as an Administrator at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, first in Clifton, then moving to to Parsippany, retiring in 2004. Ruth was a parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington and a member of the church's Share and Care program; as well as being an avid jig saw puzzler and enjoyed working on needlepoint projects. Ruth is survived by her five beloved sons: Christopher and and his wife Faye Janiec, Kevin and his wife Roxanna Janiec, Michael and his wife Tara Janiec, Thomas and his wife Eugenia Janiec and "Jay" Joseph Edward Janiec Jr. She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren Evan, Amber, Dylan, Natalie, Anthony and Hannah; and her dear brother Ted and his wife Florence Choma and five nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Saturday, March 7th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 127 Paterson Avenue Wallington, New Jersey 07057. Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband, at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road, South Hackensack.
