Ronald M. Biss, 84, of Elmwood Park, formerly of Passaic, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 21, 2022. Ron was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Godlesky) who predeceased him in 2016. Ron was a US Navy Veteran who proudly served his country during The Korean War. He enlisted in the Navy at age 16 and later was transferred to the Marines, serving as a Medic. His years of Military service were filled with treasured memories and stories he often recounted. Upon returning to civilian life, he was employed by PSE&G, and retired after almost 34 years of service as a supervisor. Ron was a member of The Holy Rosary Young Men’s Passaic Club and The St. Al’s Club at St. Joseph’s Church in Passaic. He was a member of St. Anne’s Church in Fair Lawn. As a Civil War buff, Ron was well versed with the facts and figures of that period. He took an annual visit to the Gettysburg reenactment of the war and read all the latest books on the subject. He was a great storyteller and his memories brought alive the events of that time to many a fascinated audience. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12th, 11 AM to 1PM, at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington, NJ.
