Richard Dewitt

Richard "Rick" Dewitt, 49, of Ringwood, NJ, passed away on Friday, December 29th, 2023. Born in Ridgewood, NJ on May 16th, 1974, he grew up in Elmwood Park, NJ and then resided in Ringwood, NJ. During his professional career, Rick was a self-employed carpenter for his own company Dewitt Construction, located in Ringwood.

Rick is predeceased by his mother Jayne (Choka) DeWitt. He is survived by his cherished son Zack, his father Rick, beloved siblings Kurt and his wife Laura of Lodi, Kimberly and her partner Franklin of Garfield, his loving nieces and nephews Kaylee, Kaydence, Katalyna, Franklin and Waylon. Many devoted friends who he adored, and his faithful companion Auggie dog.

Rick had so many hobbies and interests. He loved music, snowboarding, camping, wood working, cornhole, gardening, fishing and coaching his son Zack's baseball games, just to name a few. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan. He always enjoyed having a good time with the people he loved.

Please join us as we honor and celebrate Rick's life 12pm-5pm Saturday, January 6th, 2023 at the American Legion, 41 Union Street, Lodi, NJ 07644, where we can all come together and share our stories, laughs and memories.
