Sister Renee Marie Zinciuk, entered eternal life on February 16th, 2025, she was 72. Sister Renee was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on January 30th, 1953, the daughter of George Zinciuk and Apolonia Wardenka. Sister Renee received her B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Felician University, Lodi. She continued her education, earning her M.S.W. Social Work at Fordham University, NYC, NY. Sister was had certifications from The Academy of Certified Social Workers and the School Social Worker, State of New Jersey. Sister Renee entered the Felician Order on September 20th, 1970 and Professed her final vows on August 11th, 1979. Sister Renee’s Assignments within the Archdiocese of Newark include: 1981-1982 Saint Anthony High School, Jersey City, NJ, educator of High School Social Studies; 1989-1992 AIDS Resource Foundation, Newark, NJ as the Director of Social Services; 1992-2005 Faith Services, Hoboken, NJ as a Statistician; 2005-2007 Most Sacred Heart Convent, Wallington, NJ working as an Aide to Provincial Secretary; 2007-2017 Most Sacred Heart Convent, Wallington, NJ, where she did Volunteer Work. Sister Renee's volunteer work included assistance at The American Red Cross in the financial department, Fairfield, NJ. Sister also volunteered at the Felician Care Center in Lodi. Her assignments outside of the Newark Archdiocese include: 1974-1977 Holy Spirit School in New Castle, Delaware, where she taught the Junior High Grades; 1977-1979 Passaic Catholic Regional School, Passaic, NJ, she taught the Junior High Grades; 1979-1981 Immaculate Conception School, Spotswood, NJ, she taught the Junior High Grades; 1982-1986 Covenant House Under 21, New York City, NY, where she worked as the Activity Coordinator and Social Worker; 1986-1989 Covenant House Under 21, New York City, NY, as the Team Leader and Unit Director; 1989-1992 AIDS Resource Foundation, Newark, NJ as the Director of Social Services; and 1992-2005 Faith Services in Hoboken, NJ as a Statistician. A visitation will be held at the Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes, Lodi, NJ. Sister Renee's funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel in Lodi, New Jersey. Sister Renee will be laid to rest at the Felician Cemetery in Lodi, following cremation.
