Patricia Helen Stavash, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on September 1, 1937, in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Helen Slebodnik and Henry Binns.
Patricia was a devoted wife to her loving husband Bernard Stavash for an impressive 64 years. Their marriage was a shining example of love, commitment, and partnership. Together they created a beautiful family filled with love and cherished memories.
As a mother, Patricia was the epitome of generosity, encouragement, fairness, and responsiveness. She nurtured her children and instilled in them strong values that would guide them throughout their lives. She is survived by her children Jane and her husband Stephen Masterson, Jeffrey and his wife Christine, John and his wife AnnMarie
Grandmotherhood brought immense joy to Patricia's life. She adored her six grandchildren Andrew, Adam, Jared, Nicholas, Lia, Sally dearly. Her presence in their lives was marked by unwavering patience, empathy, supportiveness, and encouragement. Patricia's legacy will continue through the love and lessons she shared with them.
One could easily recognize Patricia by her forgiving nature - always quick to offer forgiveness and understanding without hesitation. Kindness flowed effortlessly from her heart as she touched the lives of those around her with compassion. Patience was another virtue she possessed abundantly; she had an innate ability to remain calm even during challenging times, and always decorated for the holidays, right down to the napkins.
Patricia began her journey in nursing at the Mountainside School of Nursing where she pursued her passion for caring for others. Graduating as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with the Class of 1958 showcased her dedication to helping those in need. Her skills were invaluable as she brought comfort to countless patients throughout her career.
A woman of faith until the end of her days, Patricia was a devout Roman Catholic. She found solace and strength in her relationship with God and was an active member of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Her commitment to her faith extended beyond attending Sunday Mass; she served as a devoted parishioner, fully engaged in the church's community.
Patricia Helen Stavash will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith will forever be cherished by her family and friends. As we bid farewell to an extraordinary woman, may we find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared with her and the knowledge that she now rests peacefully in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Rest in peace, dear Patricia.
Visiting 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm, on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 , at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ 07057. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated , Monday, November 6th, 2023, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus 127 Paterson Avenue. Wallington, New Jersey. Patricia will be laid to rest immediately following mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Michael J.
