Michal Pyz of Wallington, New Jersey, died on October 19th, 2014, he was 90. Michal was born in Jastkowice, Poland on June 22, 1924 to Piotr and Anna (Pijor) Pyz. He was raised in Poland where he married Zofia Nawrotek on January 3, 1951. The family came to the United States on November 11, 1964, living first in the South Bronx. In 1970 the family moved to Conshohocken, PA where they remained until moving to Wallington, New Jersey in 2007. While living in Pennsylvania, Michal worked for the Rolling Hills Hospital for many years where he had been a carpenter. In addition to being a true, "Jack of all Trades" he enjoyed gardening, working with all of his carpentry tools and loved driving his Mercedes. Michal also enjoyed many years of volunteering at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown. He is survived by his beloved wife Zofia, his two devoted children and their spouses, Tadeusz and Anna Pyz and Grazyna and Bogdan Torbus. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Klaudia Pyz, Consuela Pyz, Angela Torbus, Andrzej and wife Monika Torbus, Agata Torbus, Aneta Torbus and her soon to be husband Tomasz Bodyziak and Adam Torbus. Michal is also survived by his cherished great-granddaughter Karolina. Visiting will be held on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 from 7 - 9 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the National Shrine at Our Lady of Czestochowa at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014, followed by interment at the cemetery.
