Michael Ognewchuk

Michael J. Ognewchuk of Wallington, died on April 19th, he was 63. Michael was born in Jersey City on July 9th, 1951, to Walter and Frances (Yac) Ognewchuk. He attended St. Michael's Grammar School and St. Anthony's High School. He graduated from Jersey City State University in 1975. He worked for the Clifton Public Schools as a computer operator. On October 3rd, 1981 he married Theresa DeMarco in Schuylerville, NY. He had been Secretary for the ABA Collectors Fan Club (American Basketball Assoc.) He had also been a Bergen County Committeeman for the Republican Party. Michael was also a devoted parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Theresa, his sister Rosemarie and her husband Steven Walltine. He was predeceased by his brother Walter and his parents. Visiting Tues, 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10am Wed, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Visitation Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
