Mary Vaughan of Hasbrouck Heights, entered eternal life, surrounded by her devoted family on Friday, April 17th, 2020, she was 96. Mary was born in Jersey City on March 7th, 1924, to Stanislaw and Johanna (Kusiewicz) Kessler. Mary was married to her beloved husband James Vaughan until his passing in November of 2006. For the past twelve years she has been living in Hasbrouck Heights. Mary enjoyed spending time with her entire family, but her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mary enjoyed word find puzzles and taking time for her ice-cream breaks. Mary was also a PEPSI Cola supporter and fan. Mary is survived by her beloved children, Jim and wife Donna Vaughan, Diane (and husband Raymond Monaco who passed on March 15th, 2020), Laureen and husband John Slota. She is survived by her devoted grandchildren Dennis, Deana, Summer and Caileen, and her cherished great grandchildren Jack, James and Violet Mary. Mary is also survived by her brother Ted and Fran Kessler. She was predeceased by her two sisters Pauline Kessler and Josephine Hicko, and two brothers John S. Kessler and Anthony Kessler. A private funeral service was held, and Mary was laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later time.
