Kathleen Collura

Kathleen "Nunny" Collura, a lifelong resident of Wallington, passed away on November 29, 2023, she was 67. She was born on September 9, 1956, in Passaic, New Jersey to Stephan and Adeline Zvalaren (nee Cebulski). She had many admirable qualities, but one that truly stood out was her creativity. Whether it was woodworking, painting or designing unique crafts, she always found joy in expressing herself through various artistic endeavors. She was a huge music fan, and among her favorite artists were Kenny Rodgers, Rod Stewart, and Janis Joplin. Her favorite pop culture hero was “Jack Skellington" from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. Nunny cherished her 1971 Volkswagen Beetle, a 2020 Christmas gift from her beloved Ricky. She was a graduate of Wallington High School class of 1974. Nunny dedicated her time and love to being a homemaker. She is survived by the love of her life for over 25 years, Ricky Avallone along with her daughter, Carrie Collura-Murphy and her husband, Daniel Murphy. Nunny also leaves behind her devoted fur baby, Hobo, her three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Nunny will be interred immediately following, at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road.
