Josephine Sikora, a life-long resident of Wallington, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 8th, she was 91. Josephine was born in Wallington on March 11th, 1928, to Peter and Valeria (Dec) Skrzypacz. Josephine was married to John Sikora in the late 1940's. He predeceased her many years ago. Josephine last worked at St. Mary's Hospital, first as a volunteer, then worked as the manager of the Gift Shop. She originally ran her husband's plumbing business John W. Sikora, Sr. Plumbing. She later worked for the Bergen County Prosecutors Office as the Supervisor of Records in Hackensack. She had been one of the organizers of the Wallington Girls Recreation, a founding member of the Wallington Seniors, a member of the St. Mary's Guild in Passaic, and had also been a member of the Wallington AARP Chapter 4115. In Josephine's free time, she could be found reading the newspaper playing electronic poker on her phone, or Face Book surfing. Josephine is survived by her two beloved children John "Jack" and his wife Linda Sikora, and Sharon Marcellaro. She is also survived by her five cherished grandchildren Craig, Scott, Jaclyn, Suzanne and Michael. Josephine was looking forward to the birth of her great-grandchild, later this year. She is also survived by her dear brother-in-law Daniel Sikora. Josephine was predeceased by her five siblings, Stanley, Julia, Phyllis, John and Irene. There will be no public visitation prior to the funeral Mass. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:00 am, Saturday, March 14th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 127 Paterson Avenue Wallington, New Jersey 07057. A private cremation will follow.
