Joseph Wojcik

December 12, 1921 — October 28, 2013

Joseph Wojcik, a life-long Wallington resident died peacefully at home on Oct 28th, 2013; he was 91. Joseph was born in Wallington on Dec 12, 1921 to Stanislaus and Michaelena (Bal) Wojcik. He proudly served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII in both England and France. In 1945 he married Anna Zwolenik at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington. Joseph worked for many years for Becton Dickinson in East Rutherford. Towards the end of his career, he worked as a dispatcher for the companies Parsippany shipment facility. Joseph was a family man and an enjoyed “tinkering with everything”. In addition to being a parishioner and usher at Most Sacred Heart for over fifty years, Joseph had belonged to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Knights of Columbus Council 3644, the Holy Name Society and the Pavlik-Koster VFW Post #2640, Wallington. Joseph was predeceased by his brother John Wojcik and sister Mary Hrobak. He is survived by his beloved wife Anna; his three devoted children and their spouses, Robert and Cynthia, Stanley and Doreen, and Thomas an Irene. Joseph is also survived by his six cherished grandchildren. Visiting Wed 5-8 PM Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington. A funeral Mass will be held at 10AM, Thursday, Oct 31st at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington.
