Joseph Lorenc of Toms River, NJ and formerly of Wallington, entered eternal life on January 6th, 2022, he was 88. Joseph was born in Florida, NY to Feliks and Tekla (Kurdyla) Lorenc on September 5th, 1933. At the age of 18 he moved to Wallington, and later enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served with honor and distinction in Europe and the Untied States during the early 1950's. Joseph met his future wife at the Belmont Ballroom in Garfield, NJ, the former Miss Joan Radoslovich of Union City. They were married on April 8th 1961, and have enjoyed dancing together for the past 61 years. Prior to his retirement Joseph had worked for the New Jersey Transit Rail Operations for nearly 30 years. He was also an avid fan of music, so much so that he had been an active member of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish choir, and enjoyed playing the organ at home. Joseph is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Joan, his loving children and their spouses, Joanne and Keith McIsaac, Janice and John Calabrese and Joseph and Nicole Lorenc; his cherished grandchildren, Lyndsey and her husband Kevin Myers, William, Samantha, Victoria, Nicholas and Jamie. He is also survived by his dear sister Anna Kaprowski and his sister-in-law Mary Altamura. Joseph was predeceased by his nine siblings, Thomas Lawrence, John Lorenc, Casmir Lorenc, Klara Kurdlya, Sophie Youngberg, Veronica Grabowski, Theresa Seelogy, Katherine Dean and Elizabeth Vaxmonsky. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM, January 11th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Avenue, Wallington, NJ.
