Joseph “Joey” Lipari of Passaic was called home by his beloved Lord and Savior, where he was born into eternal life on June 15, 2021; he was 62. Joey was born in Passaic on January 5, 1959, to Joseph and Marion (Bashaw) Lipari. When Joey was 14, his family moved from Hillsdale, NJ to Passaic; where he graduated from Passaic High School Class of 1976. While growing up Joey, was extremely active in sports, particularly baseball, where he was an accomplished pitcher for Passaic High School. Joey’s passion expanded into cooking, fishing and gardening. He was gifted in the kitchen, and was truly the “Best Cook Around.” Any meal he prepared was Michelin Star. During the 1980’s Joey owned the famous crab house, “Somethings Fishy.” He enjoyed smoking cigars, and always had the best on hand. Joey eventually joined the family business and became the proud owner of Joseph’s Meats. He was a devoted Catholic and attended Mass daily at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Passaic. Joey had a big heart and loved his family and friends dearly. Joseph is survived by his two devoted sisters Anne Neggia and her husband Joseph; and Marilynn Manganella and her husband Joseph. He is survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Gianna, Gelina, Joseph, Justina, Joseph, Anne Marie, Michael and Santino. Joey rejoined his family in eternal life, his dear parents Joseph and Marion, and his brother James. As faith was the guiding light in Joseph’s life, family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Monday, June 21st, 4 - 8 pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22nd, 1pm, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 10 St. Francis Way, Passaic, NJ 07055. Joseph will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
