John "Jack" Mizdol, a lifelong resident of Wallington, entered eternal life on May 21st, 2017, he was 81. Jack was born on May 19th, 1936 in Passaic, NJ to John and Anna (Wos) Mizdol. He was raised in Wallington, and was a graduate of Wallington High Schools first graduating class, Class of 1955. Jack proudly entered the United States Air Force following graduation, and served for the next four years. Shortly after returning from active duty, in 1961 Jack began working for Werner Ford in Garfield, where hew became the General Manager. He worked there until 1981. In 1984 he began working for Nussbaum Wreckers and Carriers in Hasbrouck Heights, retiring in 2012. Jack was an avid sports fan to baseball, basketball and his beloved Cowboys. Jack was also a supporter of his home town of Wallington. He had served on the Planning Board for over 12 years and had even been a past President. Jack is survived by his beloved daughter Terry (Michael) Giordano, Ken (Janet) Mizdol and his four loving grandchildren Todd, Kyle, Benjamin and Amanda. He is also survived by his dear sister Mary Ann Bandini. He was predeceased by his brother Emil. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9pm, Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am, Friday, May 26th, at the Wallington Presbyterian Church 9 Bond Street, Wallington. Jack will be laid to rest with his family at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road, S. Hackensack, New Jersey.
