John William Lewis of East Rutherford died on June 27th, 2014, he was 85. John was born in Wallington, New Jersey on June 9th, 1929 to Wilbur and Mary Lewis. In 1956 John married Anna Mae Kimball, she predeceased him on June 5th, 2007. After serving in the United States Army in Korea, John started working as a truck driver. He last worked for Engle Oostdyk in Elmwood Park, NJ. He had lived in Coconut Creek Florida from 1997-2005 and had been a member of the American Legion, Post 738 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. His hobbies included fishing and anything mechanical when it came to cars and trucks. He had also lived in Wallington and Passaic, moving to East Rutherford in 2005. John is survived by his three daughters, Linda and husband Frantz Nerrette, Mary and husband James Schwartz and Annie Lewis. He is also survived by his two grandsons Michael and John Van Luvender, many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Wilbur and his sisters Louise and Helen. Visiting will be held 4-8 pm Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 and immediately followed by a funeral service at 8:00 pm.
