Jerzy Burdzy

Jerzy “George” of Fairfield, NJ and formerly of Wallington, died on Sept 29th, he was 62. Jerzy was born in Rzeszow, Poland on Sept 7, 1950 to Stanley and Stanislawa Burdzy. He and his family came to the USA in 1959, living in Passaic, Wallington and Clifton. Jerzy married his beloved wife Longina Urbaniak on Jan 22, 1979, The family moved to Fairfield, NJ twenty-six years ago. He most recently worked as a maintenance mechanic at Visy Paper in Staten Island. Jerzy had outstanding mechanical skills and never found a project that he couldn’t handle or complete. He is survived by his beloved wife Longina, his devoted daughter Sylvia Velsor and her husband Steve of Cedar Grove, NJ and his son George Burdzy of Fairfield. Jerzy is also survived by his cherished grandson Justin Velsor and his dear mother-in-law Ludmila Urbaniak, he was pre-deceased by his brother Bogdan.
