Mrs. Jean Tecza of Garfield, NJ, died on January 19th, 2015, she was 84. Jean was born in Garfield, NJ to John and Aniela (Sudol) Kolasa on August 19th, 1930. She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Kostka Grammar School, Class of 1943 and a graduate of Garfield High, Class of 1947. On February 4th, 1956, Jean married Henry Tecza. Henry predeceased Jean on December 28th, 2014, they would have been married 59 years in February. In addition to being a great wife and a terrific mother, Jean had worked for the City of Garfield and most recently Wittig-Legutko Insurance Agency in Garfield. Jean enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and taking the monthly bus trips to Atlantic City, where she was an avid A/C slot player. Jean had also been a Cub Scout Den Mother, and was currently the Treasurer of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Rosary Society. She was also in the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Rosol-Dul Memorial Post 359 in Passaic. Jean is survived by her loving children, son Jim and his wife Eileen Tecza of Whippany, NJ; her daughter Lorraine Wager of McLean, VA and son Paul and his wife Kathy Tecza of Clifton, NJ. Jean is the cherished grandmother of seven Nicholas, Michael, Katie, Kristen, Laura Jean, Lynnie and Jimmy; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brother Stanley Kolasa. Visiting 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm, Thursday, January 22nd, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home, 10 am, Friday, January 23rd, prior to the funeral mass which will be celebrated 11am, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 184 Ray St, Garfield, NJ.
