Jan Konopka of East Rutherford, NJ, entered eternal life on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019, he was 86. Jan was born in Konopki-Pokrzywnica, Poland on June 24th, 1933, to Stanislaw and Eugenia (Stypolkowska) Konopka. He was married to his beloved wife Halina (Sidorowicz), on May 7th, 1966 in Bialystok, Poland. He came to the United States in December of 1966. Jan had worked as a tailor at the Clifton Clothing Co., in Wallington until his retirement in 1995. Prior to coming to the United States, he had worked as a professional fireman in Poland. He is survived by his beloved wife Halina, his beloved sons and their wives, Stefan and Robin Konopka and Ted and Anna Konopka. He is also survived by his six cherished grandchildren; Autumn, Tegan, Evan, Justin, Ashley and Julia. He is also survived by his dear sister Zofia Wadolowska. Jan was predeceased by his brother Henryk and two sisters Anna and Krystyna. Visiting 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, Sunday, August 25th, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Monday, August 26th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Avenue Wallington, New Jersey 07057.
