Hermie Landas

Hermie Landas of Wallington, NJ, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 13th, 2022, he was 82. Hermie was born in Navotas, Philippines on April 13th, 1939, to Fortunato Landas and Asuncion Landas (San Pedro). Hermie was married to Lydia Landas (Marapao) in the Philippines in 1969 for 52 wonderful years. In 1974, Hermie and his wife Lydia came to the United States. During his professional career Hermie worked as a Chemical Engineer at Electro Miniatures Corp. in Moonachie, NJ. Hermie enjoyed all things music, whether it be singing, classical music, or playing the trumpet. Hermie was also a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where he was a part of the choir. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Lydia Landas; his loving children, Joseph Landas and Vanessa Landas & her life companion David; and his dear sister Carmelita. Hermie was predeceased by his cherished brothers Victor, Theodoro, and Celso. Visiting 7:00- 9:00 pm, Monday, January 17th, 2022 at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ. A second visitation, 7:30- 8:30 am on Tuesday, January 18th at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service. Immediately following, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:00 am, Tuesday, January 18th, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 10 Saint Francis Way Passaic, NJ 07055. Hermie will then be laid to rest 10:15 am, at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Rd, South Hackensack, NJ 07606.
