Helen Marie Mailot, (nee Ciliento) a lifelong Wallington resident, passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 86. Born in Wallington to Anthony and Sarah Ciliento, she is survived by her son, Richard Mailot, Jr.; grandson Fredrick H. Smith; sisters Carol Ciliento and Teresa DeGroat; brothers James and Thomas Ciliento; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Natalie Ann Mailot Smith; sisters Rose Russo and Florence Mann; and brother Anthony “Butch” Ciliento.
Helen was a delightful person to be around, known for her warmth, kindness, and willingness to help and listen. She possessed a knack for fixing anything and was highly artistic and creative. Her hobbies included needlepoint, knitting, ceramics, and, like most Italians, she was an exceptional cook. As a dedicated homemaker, her last job was as a sales associate at Macy’s in Paramus.
Helen will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her unwavering kindness. Her light continues to shine on through them, and she will forever reside in their hearts.
A joyous celebration of Helen’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society. Cremation Services were private. Arrangements by Warner-Wozniak Funeral Services.
