Halina Konopka of East Rutherford, NJ, entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020, she was 86. Halina was born in Bialystok, Poland on October 6, 1933, to Boleslaw and Albina (Praczuk) Sidorowicz. She first came to the United States in May of 1963. Halina returned to Poland and married her beloved husband of over 53 years on May 7th, 1966 in Bialystok, Poland. The family returned to the United States and settled in East Rutherford. Halina had worked as a seamstress in Passaic, until her retirement in 1995. Halina was a devoted parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She is survived by her beloved sons and their wives, Stefan and Robin Konopka and Ted and Anna Konopka. She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren; Autumn, Tegan, Evan, Justin, Ashley and Julia. She is survived by her dear sisters Barbara Mroczek and Henryka Karczewska. Halina was predeceased by her beloved husband Jan on August 21st, 2019. She was also predeceased by five siblings. Zofia, Jadwiga, Wladyslaw, Henryk, and Krysztof.
