Gertrude Luczun

Gertrude A (Hudzik) Luczun of Wallington, entered eternal life on January 12, 2021, she was 96. Gertrude was born on June 20th, 1924 in Passaic, NJ to Marya and Frank Chudzik. At a very young age, and due to the death of her mother, Gertrude was adopted by Christopher and Frances Cajzer. On December 2, 1945, Gertrude married her beloved husband, Peter John Luczun. They were married 38 years at the time of his death in 1983. Gertrude had last worked at Dupont Electronics before her retirement. Gertrude had three children, Kristina Ann Liebig, Jacqueline Hanson and John Peter Luczun. After retiring, she spent years caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gertrude was always there for a friend or relative in need of a ride to the doctor or to go out to lunch. She always kept in touch with family and friends including the 16th Service Squadron Reunion Group. Gertrude moved to Dallas, Texas in 2008 to spend her time with her daughter and granddaughter. Gertrude was a member of the Columbiettes of Wallington, the Wallington Seniors, the Catholic Daughters of America and The Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Altar Guild. Gertrude is survived by her sister, Jane Dworak, her daughters, Jacqueline Hanson and Kristina Ann Liebig. Gertrude is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Theresa Ann Raimondi, John Raimondi, Noelle Johnson, Michael Liebig, Jennifer Lochridge, Jessica Robinson, Mary Grace Luczun and Rebecca Luczun and Great Grandchildren, Carl Favuzzi, Russell Hoffman, Emily Johnson, Amy Palumbo, Sarah Lochridge, Emma Lochridge, Collin Lochridge, Lana Rose Gordan-Martin, Donovan Gordan-Martin, Anthony Liebig and Julia Liebig. Visiting , Saturday, January 23rd, 2021; 9am-11am, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Avenue, Wallington, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30am, Saturday, January 23rd at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington. Gertrude will be laid to rest immediately following at St. Michaels Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in Dallas at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Hampton Road, Dallas, TX, 11am, Saturday, February 6th, 2021.
