It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gertrude Kardel, on July 9th, 2024, at the age of 91. Gertrude was born in Montclair on February 2nd, 1933 to Frank and Stella (Kaminski) Spieczynski.
Prior to retiring, Gertrude spent many years working as a banking secretary in Point Pleasant. While living in Florida, she became a member of the sunshine state's Polish Alliance. She enjoyed spending time shopping, finding many lovely clothes and trinkets.
Gertrude is survived by her dear cousin Veronica Majka, many other cousins, and her granddog ScrappyDo, who always perked up at the sound of her voice and the smell of her treats.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, July 16th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington. Gertrude will be laid to rest at a private ceremony.
