Frank Bernard Grabowski, Jr.
On July 1st, 2018, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great friend Frank Bernard Grabowski Jr passed away at 4:40 in the morning at Hackensack University Medical Center, due to Mesothelioma. While not a Wallington resident until the age of 10, Frank was sewn into the the fabric of the South Bergen community. Also, Frank served in the United States Navy for four years. Serving aboard the USS Bearss (DD-654), and the USS Suribachi (AE-21). Throughout his life, he worked as a welder in Steamfitters Union Local 274.
In 1961, Frank was married to his devoted and faithful wife, Andrea Grabowski. They lived happily together for 57 years. The two were loving parents of Frank III and Jeff Grabowski, who is married to Donna Grabowski nee Kudlacik. Frank was also a devoted Grandfather to Frank IV, Maya, Blaze, and Steel. Frank’s family and his close friends are all rattled by this loss.
At Frank's request, funeral services will be private. He will be laid to rest in Florida, New York at his family gravesite. The family will appreciate thoughts and prayers, as well as any donations to the American Lung Association, the American Heart Society, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are appreciated.
