Frances Wilson (Kowal), 94, of Clifton passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 27th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 127 Paterson Avenue in Wallington. Frances will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Frances was born in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, on October 27th, 1923, to Charles and Agnes (Moskal) Kowal. She worked as a seamstress before marrying her husband, Edward. Frances moved to Wallington, New Jersey from Edwardsville and, later in life, moved to Clifton to live with family. Frances loved animals, sewing, and keeping up with her New York Mets. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, doing crossword puzzles, and tending to animals in her neighborhood. She was a parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Frances is survived by her loving daughter, Rebecca DenBoer, and Rebecca’s husband, David, as well as their children: David and his wife, Stephanie; Stephanie Sonzogni and her husband, Christopher; and Jennifer. Frances was the cherished great-grandmother of Christopher, Madison, Paige, David, Kayla; and the great-great-grandmother of Spencer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her loving cat, Gino. Frances is survived by her sisters Theresa Skrenta, of Wallington, and Christina (Tina) Farley, of North Myrtle Beach. She was predeceased by her husband Edward and her siblings, Geraldine (Jenny) Colluccini, Leapold, Stanley, Edward, and Chester Kowal.
