Evelyn Martys, a long time resident of Wallington, and most recently of Parsippany, entered eternal life on Monday, July 13th, 2020, she was 92. Evelyn was born in Manhattan on January 8th, 1928, to Angelo and Rita (Perez) Robles, and raised in the Bronx. In 1960 she moved to Passaic, and in 1963 settled in Wallington. In 2012 she enjoyed living in Manchester, NJ, and due to health reasons, had most recently lived in Parsippany, NJ. Evelyn was married to Frank Martys who predeceased her in 2001. She had worked in the Bergen County Criminal Courts in Hackensack, retiring in 2010. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden. Evelyn was a devoted mother and grandmother. She had been a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for many years, and had also been a parishioner at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. In addition to Evelyn being predeceased by her husband Frank, she was also predeceased by her beloved son Kenneth Martys in 1980. Evelyn is survived by her devoted sons Steven and Ron Martys, and her cherished grandchildren, Jude, Justin, Samantha Noll, Merrisa Martys and her four great grandchildren Molly and Rose Martys, Lily and Avery Noll. Due to the pandemic, the family had a private celebration of Evelyn's life, and held a graveside service, where she was laid to rest with Frank and Kenneth at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi, NJ.
