Emily Hanzl of East Rutherford, died on April 25th, she was 86. Emily was born in Garfield, NJ on April 12, 1929 to Walenty and Josephine (Samek) Bednarczyk. On Nov 22nd, 1952, Emily married Edward Hanzl and they moved to East Rutherford. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington. Emily was a member of the Wallington AARP 4115, the East Rutherford Seniors Club, and the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Rosary Confraternity. Emily is survived by her beloved husband Edward, her loving daughter Debra and husband Joseph Barbera of Clifton, and was the caring grandmother of Brian and Melissa Barbera. She is also survived by her dear nephew Albert Berta, and nieces Patricia and (Tom) Ruggiero, Geraldine Heinrichs and Jacqueline Smith. Visiting Tues, April 28th, 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10am, Wed, April 29th, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donation be made to Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
