Emil Tlusty, a lifelong resident of Wallington, NJ died on November 6th, at the age of 92. Emil was born in Passaic, NJ on Jan 1, 1920 to George and Sophie (Sudol) Tlusty, and was raised in Wallington. He attended high school in Lodi and the Bloomfield Technical School. He became a Master Electrician and started his own company, Emil Tlusty Electrical Contractor, in Wallington, NJ. Emil joined the US Army during WWII and served in the 42nd Infantry Division. He married Carol Kopec on Oct 12, 1946 at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington. Emil was employed by Flintkote Roofing in East Rutherford, Duradex Printing in Clifton, and Monarch Industries in Ridgefield Park. Emil strongly believed in family and community, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Council 3644, Fourth Degree. He helped to build the Knights Council Hall, and was one of the founding members. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society at Most Sacred Heart Church, and the Wallington Seniors. He loved fishing with his son, supplying vegetables from his garden to all his friends and neighbors, and Boston College Football games and tailgate parties. Emil is survived by his devoted and cherished wife of 66 years, Carol, and his loving children, five daughters and one son, and their spouses: Patricia and James Zoll, Kathleen and Dennis Borecki, Deborah and Chuck Geske, Carol Beier, Melanie and Thomas Yannuzzi, and Emil C. and Grace Tlusty. He is also survived by his 9 dear grandchildren, David, Kevin, Caren, Jason, Stephen, Scott, Melanie, Rachel and Jordan and his 2 great-granddaughters, Jillian and Luna, and by his brother Chester, and sisters Irene Tlusty and Sylvia Tencza. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jean, and Sr. Theresa Marie O.P. (Sophie). Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ.
