Emil Avallone of Passaic Park, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 24th, he was 87. Emil was born on December 8th, 1930, in West New York, New Jersey, where he was also raised. After graduating High School, Emil joined the United States Air Force, and served during the Korean War. He then lived in Texas and came back to New Jersey in 1960, living in Union City until 1964 when he came to Wallington. After his marriage to Marion Vander Wande he settled in Passaic Park in 1973. Marion predeceased Emil in May of 2016 after 43 years. Emil was a Machinist by trade working at the Acme Gear Company in Englewood for many years. In his free time, he could be found boating, bowling or swimming in the pool, but his real passion was hunting and firing guns at targets. Emil is survived by his two devoted sons, Emil Avallone Jr. and Ricky Avallone. He is also survived by his cherished five grandchildren his nine step-grandchildren, his five great grandchildren and nine step-greatgrandchildren.
