Elizabeth Paluch

Elizabeth A. of East Rutherford, died on October 19th, 2012; at the age of 102. Elizabeth was born on August 17, 1910 to John and Antoinette (Bukovski) Bankos in Boonton, NJ, where she was also raised. Elizabeth was a gymnast for Sokol’s, a Slovak Fraternal Organization. She married Paul P. Paluch at the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Boonton on August 21, 1937. After their marriage the couple moved to Garfield and then to East Rutherford. In 1977 Elizabeth and Paul retired to New Mexico. After Paul died in January of 1988, Elizabeth returned to East Rutherford. She is survived by her loving daughters Mary Ann Nieglos of East Rutherford and Bernadine A. Icklan of Barnegat, NJ. She is survived by her beloved sister Helen Rhoden and brother Edward Bankos, her four cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visiting Sunday 2-6 PM at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave. Wallington, NJ. Funeral Mass 11 AM Monday at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, at corner of Market and Monroe Streets, Passaic.
