Edward Kietlinski a forty year resident of Wallington, died on February 17th, surrounded by his loving family, he was 77. Edward was born on Dec 2, 1936 to Jozef and Marianna (Zaluska) Kietlinski in Drewnowo Konarze, Poland. After serving in the Polish Army, Edward came to the United States in 1964. On August 15th, 1964 he married Jadwiga Zakrzewski at St. Joseph’s Church in Passaic. Edward had worked as a welder throughout his career, often working several jobs to support his family. He retired nearly ten years ago from Palmer Electronics in Garfield. His family remembers a man who could and did fix anything and everything. They remember that often times that after something would break, and there were hopes of getting a new replacement, the item would reappear, fixed. Edward believed and instilled the “hard work” philosophy in his children and his family. The most important thing to Edward was his family, his beloved wife of nearly fifty years Jadwiga, his five devoted children and their spouses, Edward Jr and Nancy Lynn Kietlinski, Barbara and Alexander Duka, Wanda and Wesley Rowniewski, Joanna and Christopher Moore, Teresa and Michael Dikun, and his seven cherished grandchildren Kevin, Kelly, Amelia, Julia, Ella, Anya, and Nicolaus. He is also survived by his brother Jozef Kietlinski, and one sister Sabina Godlewska. He was predeceased by his brother Henry and his sister Teresa.
