Bruno Gronek

Bruno of Saddle Brook, NJ died on Feb1 14th, 2013, at the age of 99 years. Bruno was born in Garfield, NJ on Oct. 30th, 1913 to Geroge and Aniella (Sudol) Gronek. He was raised in Garfield, and graduated from the Garfield High School. On Sept 10th, 1939 he married Pauline Szymanski at the Church of St. Stanislaw in Garfield. Bruno has lived in Saddle Brook for over fifty years. He had worked for Becton Dickenson in East Rutherford as a machinist for over 35 years, retiring in 1978. Bruno was also an accomplished musician, playing the piano and the violin. Earlier in life, he was the member of a Polka Band. He also enjoyed listing to the classic music of Lawrence Welk and Jimmy Sturr. Bruno is survived by his beloved daughters, Eugenia Courtney of Hillsborough, NJ and Diana Grados of Aiken, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Daniel, Kevin, Pamela, Debra, Dawn and Dale and eleven great-grandchildren. Bruno is survived by one sister Florence Saczawa and one brother Edward Gronek. Visiting Mon 2-4 and 7-9 pm Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. A funeral mass is tentatively set for Tuesday 11AM at St. Philip the Apostle Church 488 Saddle River Road Saddle Brook, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, S. Hackensack.
