Biagino Carlo Vasile of Wallington, entered eternal life on December 18th, 2019, he was 94. Carlo was born on June 7th, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to Michael and Natalie (Amodeo) Vasile. In 1943 he entered the United States Navy where he served aboard the USS Heerman and the USS Cabana, both were destroyers. Carlo took part in the Asiatic campaign, the Philippines liberation, Palau Islands, Guadalcanal, and on escort missions guarding the transport ships preparing for the invasion of Iwo Jima. He was honorably discharged in 1946. In later years, he would often recount his experiences and close calls during his time in the theater of War. On April 13th, 1947, Carlo married the love of his life, Marie Ann Palazzolo, at St. Joseph The Patron of the Universal Church in Brooklyn. They were two weeks shy of being married for 69 years, at the time of Marie's passing, on April 2nd, 2016. In 1957 the family moved to Wallington, where they became extremely active in their church and community. Carlo along with his wife Marie, were founding members of the Most Sacred Heart "Share and Care" program, or the (babka and flowers ministry,) within the Parish. Carlo was also an active member of the Wallington Seniors and the Pavlik Koster VFW Post 2640, Wallington. During his professional career he was self employed at Jeano's Custom Upholstery which was located in Long Island City, NY. Carlo is survived by his five beloved children and their spouses, Eugene and Judy, Robert and Janice, Elizabeth Faatz, John, Thomas and Maureen "Quinn" Vasile. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Carlo was predeceased by his dear son in law Robert Faatz. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Sunday, December 22nd, at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated, 11am, Monday, December 23rd, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Ave, Wallington, NJ.
