Bernadine Flejzor of Wallington, New Jersey, entered eternal life on September 25th, 2023. She was 78. Bernadine was born on February 6th, 1945, to Casper and Elizabeth (Matsko) Moye, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Her family moved to New Jersey where she graduated from Pope Pius XII HS in Passaic. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and Biology and Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. On September 23rd, 1972, Bernadine married her "love at first sight", Allen Flejzor, and has a cherished daughter, Lauren Flejzor. Bernadine worked for forty years at NYC Metropolitan hospitals - first as a medical technologist, then as a microbiology supervisor, and finally as Director of Laboratories for Continuum Health Partners, now part of the Mount Sinai Health System in NYC. She thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of her career. She co-authored many research articles which were presented at conferences of the American Society of Clinical Pathology and the Society of Microbiology. She and Allen worked hard so they could travel the world and enjoyed every minute of their weekends in Long Beach Island. Bernadine has a deep affection for her sister Dolores, who resides in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She is especially proud of her daughter Lauren for her lifetime accomplishments. Bernadine was also a member of the Rosary Confraternity and Share and Care groups at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Wallington, NJ. Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass from 8:30 am - 9:30 am at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, October 5th, at 10:00 am, at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 127 Paterson Ave., Wallington, NJ 07057. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate, are greatly appreciated. Allen and Lauren would also like to sincerely thank the staff of Villa Marie Claire Residence Hospice in Saddle River, NJ, for the excellent care and attention given to Bernadine and her family.
