Irene Slamiak of Wallington, New Jersey, entered eternal life on August 6th, 2016, she was 87. Irene was born in Passaic, New Jersey on July 9th, 1929 to Stephen and Helen (Haider) Kulka. On September 17th, 1955 Irene married Joseph Slamiak at St. Joseph's Church in Passaic, they were married for over 60 years at the time of Joseph's death on January 27th of this year. In addition to Irene's ability to paint beautiful works of art, she enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards. Irene is survived by her devoted children, Joanne and her husband Martin Wendelken and Joseph and his wife Lisa Slamiak. Irene is also survived by her beloved grandson Patrick Wendelken and her dear sister Emily Patoray. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28th, from 2 - 4pm, at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ 07057. A service will follow at 4pm.
