The Fedor Family

Our hearts are heavy with great sadness hearing of John's passing. There is not one single person who's heart has as much love and respect for St. Michael's Byzantine Cathedral as John's did. He was a true gentleman, a kind soul, a man who truly deserved everyone's respect and kindness. John's heart was pure, he gave of his time to St. Michael's because he loved and believed in the church. He loved being an altar server - took great pleasure serving with Father Marcel, Metropolitan William, Bishop Kurt and our beloved Bishop Andrew. He saw it as the honor it is. John would light up when he put his cassock on - the joy and happiness it brought him was infectious. Over the past many years we watched as he shared that honor with our 3 sons, as well as many other young men. They looked forward to serving with John at the Cathedral almost as much as he did serving with them. May our Lord welcome him into Heaven with open arms as He has just gained the finest angel He will ever meet. Thank you John - for the wonderful example you've left all the altar servers and parishioners of St. Michael's and for the pure kindness you've provided to our entire family over the past 40 + years. Two generations of Fedor young men were honored to serve with you. May your memory and example continue to inspire our youth to serve and respect our faith and bless their inheritance as you have. Blessed repose and eternal memory - with all our respect and thanks.
