Natalie Hlinka of Wallington died on July 3rd, she was 86. Natalie was born in Russia on April 13th, 1930 to Akim and Alexandra Gorbenko. She came to the Unite States on May 2, 1949, first living in Pittsburgh, PA as an orphan. She later moved to New York where she met her beloved husband Edward C. Hlinka. They were married 53 years at the time of his death. They settled in Passaic Park where they lived for 33 years, and moved to Wallington in 2000. Natalie had first worked at Thomas Electronics and later worked as a Supervisor at CRT in Passaic and then in Wayne, retiring in 1993. She recounted that she truly enjoyed working there. She retired during the transition of the US government's use of F-14 to F-21 fighter jets, a project she found very interesting and rewarding. In addition to reading she was a singer with the Glinka Dance Company of Garfield, Wallington Seniors and the Wallington AARP Chapter 4115. Natalie is survived by one brother Peter. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward on July 17th, 2014. A funeral will be held 1PM today, July 6th, 2016 at the Chapel of the Russian Orthodox Convent of Novo-Diveevo, 100 Smith Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
