Jose Enrique  Goyco
Jose Enrique Goyco of Paterson, on June 4th, he was 76. Jose was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on June 29th, 1939 to Enrique and Maria (Nogueras) Goyco. In 1942 the family came to Manhattan, NY. In July of 1958 Jose entered the US Marine Corps and proudly served with honor and distinction. In 1961 he came moved to Paterson, NJ and on Dec 1st, 1962 married Luz Maria Nenadich, at Our Lady of Victories. Jose was a proud, extremely hard working man; owning his own trucking company, J.J. Trucking & Sons and a gas station for 15 years at Lafayette and 18th St. in Paterson. He also worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Nabisco, retiring in 2007. Jose enjoyed building model airplanes, riding his “HOG” and driving his Corvette. He also enjoyed mangos and the fresh seafood and lobster found at the restaurants on City Island. Jose also had deep respect for the relatives who had died, and always did his best to keep their memories alive. He believed that you cannot lose the ones you love, if they live in your heart. Jose’s family also has fond memories of him being the family’s “Go to Guy and a Giving Man.” Jose is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Luz Maria, his daughters Irma Goyco-Burnhan, Denise Lopez and her husband Henry, his sons Jose E. and Jason R. Goyco, and daughter Sonia Escobales. He is also survived by his 8 devoted grandchildren and his 2 cherished great-grandchildren and his beloved dog and companion, Nutmeg. Jose was predeceased by his brother Nelson Acevedo. Visiting Fri, 2-4 and 7-9, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington.
