Marie Ann Vasile, of Wallington, entered eternal life April 2nd, 2016, she was 90. Marie was born in Ensley, Alabama on August 20th, 1925 to Joseph and Nellie (Tombrello) Palazzolo. In 1934 when Marie was nine, the family moved to Brooklyn, NY. On April 13th, 1947, Marie married the love of her life, Biagino "Carlo" Vasile at St. Joseph The Patron of the Universal Church in Brooklyn. They would have been married 69 years in 2 weeks. In 1957 Marie and the family moved to Wallington, where they would become very active in their church and community. Marie was a home maker and worked at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus School for many years as the kindergarten teacher. After her retirement she did substitute teaching at Passaic Catholic and St. Anthony's Schools. In addition to being a loyal parishioner of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, she was one of the founding members of the "Share and Care" program or the (babka and flowers ministry) within the parish. Marie was also an active member of the Wallington Seniors. Marie is survived by her beloved husband Carlo, her five devoted children and their spouses, Eugene and Judy, Robert and Janice, Elizabeth Faatz, John, Thomas and Maureen "Quinn" Vasile. Marie is survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by one sister Phyllis Macinta and one brother Jack and (Rita) Palazzolo, many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by seven sisters and her son in law Robert Faatz. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Tuesday, April 5th, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Wednesday, April 6th, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers, and at Marie's request, NO flower arrangements please.
