Margaret (nee Veliky) a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on Jan 10th, she was 90. Margaret was born in Wallington, on April 23rd, 1924 to Michael and Vera Veliky. On Jan 4th, 1948 she married William F. Wakxmunsky; they were married 47 years at the time of his death in 1995. In addition to baking and cooking, Margaret enjoyed summers in Ocean Beach III at the Jersey Shore. She had also been a member of the Holy Name Seniors. Margaret had worked for NJ Bell Telephone as an operator, trainer, and supervisor, and had also volunteered her services as head librarian at Holy Name School in Garfield, during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Margaret is survived by her three devoted and loving children, William Jr., Donald and Maryann. Visiting Tues, 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave, Wallington. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10am, Wed, Jan 14th, at Church of the Most Holy Name 99 Marsellus Place, Garfield. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack.
