Peter Varga of Wallington, NJ died on August 9th, 2013, he was 68. Peter was born in Klagenfurt, Austria on May 19th, 1945 to Andrew and Helen (Kovacs) Varga. He came to the United States with his family on August 26th, 1958. He spent much of his childhood in Passaic, attending Passaic schools. He attended Montclair State University, where he earned his advanced degrees. Peter spent ten years teaching shop in East Orange and the Clifton Schools. He also worked as a Conductor for the NJ Transit system. He also worked for many years at Home Depot. Peter had many hobbies but his favorites were fishing, hunting, cruise vacations with his wife, and just going out to dinner. He was also a member of the Clifton Moose Lodge #657, Chapter 941. Peter is survived by his loving wife Dolores. They were married at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington, NJ on November 23rd, 1968. He is also survived by his devoted daughter Michelle Dato and her husband Jeff of Wood Ridge, NJ. Peter was predeceased by his daughter Doreen Varga on September 14th, 2012. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Christian, Zachary and Alexis; a brother Andrew Jr, a sister Agnes Kazal and neices Andrea and Lee Ann; and his nephew Andrew Jr. A memorial funeral mass will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 16th, at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Avenue, Wallington, NJ. Interment of Peter’s cremated remains will take place at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 17th, at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ, all are welcome.
